The first weekend of the new year is just around the corner. It’s time to get ready, so here are some tips for what you can do to have a great time at this year’s festival.

The World Series of Poker has begun, with a few tournaments scheduled for Thursday. Players from all around the globe are flocking to Las Vegas for the world’s largest poker tournament.

This series heralds the return of live poker in the poker industry, as more tournaments resume their regular schedules. Today, USPoker kicks off its weekly coverage with a look at some of the tournaments that will take place on Thursday and into the weekend.

A few sponsors have also been introduced to the yearly series, each of which offers something additional to participants. Here’s a rundown of some of the series’ recent developments.

Now is the time to get your $10 for joining WSOP NJ.

What can you expect this weekend?

The $500 Casino Employees NLHE event is typically the opening tournament in the series. Players that work in the gaming business will be rewarded handsomely in this event. Nicholas Haynes, an Aria poker dealer, won his first bracelet and $62,345 in 2019.

Haynes told WSOP.com following his triumph, “I’m grateful for my work and the players [at Aria].” “There are a lot of fantastic players. I simply keep an eye on them and pick up tidbits here and there. You just improve and sharpen your edges over time. They seemed to have a significant role in my performance today. That’s why I’m grateful for my career and the people I work with.”

That isn’t the only thing happening on Thursday. The $25,000 HORSE tournament is expected to draw a large number of high rollers. Frontline healthcare professionals will also be rewarded as part of the $1,000 COVID-19 Relief event. Here are some more things to do this weekend, beginning on Friday:

  • Event 4: $500 Reunion ($5 million guaranteed) — three beginning flights on October 1, 2, and 3.
  • $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better – October 1st
  • Event 6: $25,000 NLHE 8-Handed High Roller – Oct. 2
  • $1,500 for Event 7 6-Handed Dealers Choice – Oct. 3

Corporate sponsors can help the poker business expand significantly. This week, the WSOP announced the addition of two new businesses to the series this year.

Both provide certain additional advantages for players. VELO will be the main sponsor for the whole season. “A contemporary, worldwide oral nicotine brand intended to offer consumers 21 and above with alternatives to conventional tobacco products,” according to the product description.1633036339_142_Action-Gets-Underway-Sponsors-Weekend-Event-Preview

The business will be advertised on tables and in the final table arena, as well as on signs around the playing area.

For the Player of the Year and No Limit Leaderboard races, the VELO collaboration adds $50,000 in cash prizes. During the series, the business has additional promotions planned.

But hold on, there’s more. The second collaboration provides participants with assistance in a different area. TUSHY is ready to pee at the WSOP, the WSOP said on Thursday.

Anyone who plays a Royal Flush during the series will get a prize from the new sponsor. The winner receives a complimentary TUSHY Ace bidet seat.

The series is renowned for its infamously lengthy waits at the restroom. With this toilet improvement, TUSHY hopes to provide some respite for gamers at home. The high-tech toilet accessory offered by the business includes:

  • Remote control that is state-of-the-art
  • The self-cleaning nozzle is a signature feature.
  • Temperature regulation
  • A seat that is heated
  • Dryer “Derri-air”

“TUSHY is raising the ante with a complimentary bidet seat that will make you eager to splash the pot every time you’ve got deuces,” the firm jokes of its goods. This $599 bathroom makeover transforms any toilet into a throne.”

We’ll be covering USPoker in the coming days.
