The horse has five victories from 15 starts in his career and has already earned CA$853,014 for his owners Kathy and John Cecchin.
Important Victory
With a speed of :27.3, Bulldog Hanover got off to a fast start and grabbed the lead in the first quarter. Perfect Sting had a time of :55.1 at halftime, while Bulldog Hanover had a time of 1:22 in the third quarter. The horse, however, did not handle the pressure well and began to wander off the cones in the closing stages of the race.
Trevor Henry, the driver of Desperate Man, sensed a chance and seized it, as the Shadow Play gelding overcame his weary rivals to win in 1:49.3 and led by three-quarters of a length. Perfect Sting came in second, followed by Whichwaytothebeach in third, and Bulldog Hanover in fourth.
Bulldog Hannover and Perfect Sting got the option to choose their own postpositions due to their excellent results in the elimination, as they began from post 3 and 4. Jimmy Connor B began from position one, Bettor Sun from position two, Whichwaytothebeach from position five, and the winner from position six. Simon Says Hanover, Abuckabett Hanover, Rockyroad Hanover, and Southwind Gendry were given posts 7, 8, 9, and 10 respectively.
This was the driver’s fourth outing in the North America Cup, and his first victory of the season. Kathy Cecchin, who has had fewer than 200 starts in her career, was making her maiden appearance in the annual event, which she won. After the race, John Cecchin stated it felt wonderful to win the series and that he would be able to pay the CA$8,000 starting fee with the profits.

Woodbine Entertainment accepted the provincial proof of vaccination requirements last week, which was a big deal for the Ontario horse racing business. Patrons, employees, members, and horse racing participants at the company’s Ontario facilities, including Woodbine Racetrack, Casino Woodbine, Woodbine Mohawk Park Racetrack, Elements Casino Mohawk, Greenwood Teletheatre, and WEGZ Stadium Bar, will now be required to provide evidence of complete vaccination. They must go through the Enhanced Screening Program if they have not been immunized.
Woodbine Racetrack, Casino Woodbine, Woodbine Mohawk Park Racetrack, Elements Casino Mohawk, Greenwood Teletheatre, and WEGZ Stadium Bar are among Woodbine Entertainment’s assets. Employees of Casino Woodbine and Elements Casino Mohawk who are not presently employed by the business will not be subjected to the company’s vaccination policy.
